Web search in Make with x402serps

Make's MCP Client app connects to remote MCP servers using a URL and an API key / access token, sent as a Bearer token. It has no custom header field, so the X-Trial header can't be used here; use a credit key, or the HTTP module.

Option A: MCP Client

  1. Add MCP Client → Call a tool, then Create a connection.
  2. MCP Server: + New MCP Server, URL https://x402serps.com/api/mcp.
  3. API Key / Access token: xs_YOUR_KEY.
  4. Pick a tool such as web_search and map your inputs.

Option B: HTTP → Make a request

Method:  POST
URL:     https://x402serps.com/api/v1/search
Headers: Authorization: Bearer xs_YOUR_KEY (or X-Trial: 1 to test)
Body type: Raw, JSON
Body:    { "q": "{{1.topic}}", "num": 10 }

Swap /search for /news, /scholar, /places or /images.

Pay per call with x402 instead: tool calls without a trial header or key return the x402 payment requirements, which an x402-aware client can pay in USDC on Base or Solana. Search is $0.004 a call. Buy a credit key on the pricing page.
