Web search in Claude Code with the x402serps MCP server

Claude Code can call x402serps as a remote MCP server over streamable HTTP. One command adds 19 tools: web, news, image, places, shopping, scholar and video search, extract, research, crawl and more.

1. Add the server (free trial)

claude mcp add --transport http x402serps https://x402serps.com/api/mcp --header "X-Trial: 1"

Add --scope user to make it available in every project. Check it with claude mcp list, or /mcp inside a session.

2. Use credits after the trial

Buy a credit pack on the pricing page and swap the header for your key:

claude mcp remove x402serps
claude mcp add --transport http x402serps https://x402serps.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer xs_YOUR_KEY"

Or pay per call with x402: tool calls without payment return the x402 payment requirements, which an x402-aware client can pay in USDC on Base or Solana.
